Configuring A client is an easy matter .you need the POP3 Or IMAP and SMTP Address  for  the e-mail Server Besides these address ,you must also supply the Right user name and password of the e-mail account of the user.the user name usually be a part of the email address.

❶    Select   Start → All Programs → Microsoft Office→ Microsoft office outlook 2007.The Outlook  Window appears as In image

 ❷  Select Tools → account Settings. Under E-mail Tab Click on New. The Choose E-mail service Screen Appears 


  Microsoft Exchange ,POP3 ,IMAP, or HTTP :- Enable the user to configure e-mail Account Using POP3, IMAP or HTTP  protocol.

Other - Enables the user to add or view existing directories or Address book



❸  Select Microsoft Exchange ,POP3 IMAP ,Or HTTP and click NEXT .The Auto Account Setup Screen Appears

❹  Select Manually Configure Server Setting or additional server type .

❺  And click Next .the choose E-mail service Screen Appears as image

❻  Select internet E-mail and Click Next .The internet e-mail Setting Screen Appears as show in image

 Displays the following Options 


 User Information - Enable the User To specify User Information , such As user's name and e-mail address for the e-mail account 

 Server information :- Enable the user to Specify the incoming and out going mail server addresses for the particular account type selected..

.Logon informatics     :- Enable the user to specify the user name and password for the account 

Test Account Setting :- Enable the user to test the current account setting

More setting :- enables the user to customize the account settings



❽  Enter the required  information .. click  NEXT  the Finish 

❾  Click the Finish Button ..The new Account is Created



How To Edit Display Name And User Name Of The e-mail Account 


❶ select Start → All program →Microsoft Office outlook 2007

❷  select Tool → Account setting . .The E-mail Account screen Appears as  show image

❸ select the account and click change


❹ the internet E-mail setting screen Appears.


❺ make required changes.


❻ click next .The congratulation  screen appears


❼ click the Finish 



Troubleshooting E-mail Account


The User may encounter various problems while working with e-mail Account if the user encounters problem with an SMTP or POP3 name ,it is likely that the DNS is not recognizing the name of the mail server entered 


To check This 



Ping to the mail server


if The mail server does not respond then either iit is switched off or the name of the mail server is not resolved DNS

 Another common problem with e-mail account is wrong password .A mail server is like any other server ,it need permission to access the resources .if the user is unable to access the server ,there are possibilities that your password is incorrect .


Back up And restore Of Email



❶  select start →All program→Microsoft office→ Microsoft  office Outlook 2007  the Microsoft outlook window appears as show in image

❷  click on File and select Import and Export .the import and Export Wizard  screen Appears as image

❸  select Export to a File and Click Next.The Export To a File Screen Appears as show in image 

❹  select Personal Folder File (.pst) And Click Next .The Export Personal folders Screen appears

❺  select Personal Folders And check include subfolders and click Next .the save Exported file as: Screen Appears as shown in image

❻  Browse To a location where you want to save the backup file and select Replace Duplicates with items exported and Finish .The Create Microsoft personal folders dialog box

❼  Select Appropriate setting Click Ok. then it Will start transferring of email and Other folders

How To Restore E-mail in Ms Out look 



❶  Select start →  All program → Microsoft office → Microsoft office outlook 2007 The outlook window

❷  select File  and Click Import and Export .The import and Export wizard Screen

❸  select  import From Another program or file And Click Next .The import a file
                                                                                                                                                                 

❹ select Personal Folder File (.pst) and click Next .The import personal folders

❺  Browse to File where you have kept the backup and select Replace duplicates with items imported from Option and click Next .the select the folder to import from screen 

❻  Selects Import item into the same folder in : personal Folders and select include subfolders and click Finish .then it will start restoring back of e-mail and other folders

❼  Finally you will get back all the mails and folders
