Fix Recognize Scanner

Computer does not Recognize Scanner 

                                         

In some case ,you may get a the Scanner Cannot be found message.in this case ,the scanner may not be properly connected or the software may not be installed properly.

Check whether the scanner is plugged in and the power switch is on .if you scanner has an ON/OFF button , ensure  that it is turned On


1. shut down the ,computer and unplug it.


2. Check the USB  or SCSI port  connection of the scanner to see if the interface cable is connected properly and is not loose.


3. Check whether the correct scanner is selected for use.


4. Reconnect the interface cable to the computer .Make sure that the interface cable fit in properly and are not too tight 


5. plug in the computer and turn it on . The operating system will most probably now recognize the scanner 


6. if the scanner  is still not recognized by the os ,Change the interface cable


7. Try interchanging the power cable connecting the scanner to the power outlet and computer .if the scanner .if the scanner works,then the power cable is faulty and will have to be replaced.
