Types of computer cards and How to install
PCI Card
A circuit board the plugs into the computer's PCI ( peripheral Component interconnect) bus and contains the control electronics for a peripheral device.The PCI bus will enhance the speed of the transfer from 33MHz with a transfer rate of 1 GB per second .
PCIe Display Card
PCIe has several advantages for both user and manufactures. it is cheaper than PCI or AGP to implement on board Levels .PCIe has Point-to-point Connection ( IT does not share Bandwidth but communicates directly with devices through switch)
AGP ( Accelerated Graphics Port )
Advanced Graphics port is a channel for Attaching a video card to the Motherboard Primarily to help in 3D computer Graphics .The Advantage of AGP over PCI is That it has a dedicated pathway between slots and processor rather than sharing PCI bus .
TV Tuner Card
The TV Tuner Card are used to record television programs onto the hard Disk .This means it allows the Computer to Receive The Television Signals .These cards are Available as PCI bus Expansion Card, PCIE bus or USB devices. The Card Contains a tuner , Receiver , Demodulator and analog to Digital converter. The TV Tuner Card
Currently there are four type of TV tuner cards available in the market, such as cards for analog TV , card for Digital TV ,hybrid tuners that can handle both analog and digital inputs and combo tuners that contain both analog and digital tuners on the same card. A Video Capture Card is a class of video capture device such as video Camera converts analog video signal into Digital format. The device stores the digital Video on camper's Storage device .The video capture card can be directly plugged into the expansion slots in PCs .There are many manufactures such as ATI , Canopus , Matrox , and Pinnacle system .They Support the host bus standard like PCI , PCIE or AGP bus interfaces.The Video Capture Card include one or more software drivers that describe the card features through Various os .The Video capture Card .
How To install the Video Adapter:
❶ open The system.
❷ Locate the vacant expansion slot such as PCI , PCIe or AGP where the Video adapter must be installed.
❸ Unscrew and Remove the metal insert from system case.
❹ Insert the Video adapter in the expansion slot using a little force and taking care not to damage the motherboard
❺ Screw the Video adapter to system case
❻ Close the system .
